The RPO’s Public Relations Specialist will help ensure success and revenue generation for the RPO by leading the organization’s Public Relations effort locally and nationally. The Specialist will also serve as chief script, letter, and key message drafter for the President & CEO, as well as selected concerts events as a public relations representative.

Maintain and grow the RPO’s Public Relations program;
Serve as a media specialist and cultivate relationships with local and regional media
representatives—as well as those in the national music and arts industry;
Act as a spokesperson for the RPO, when necessary;
Draft scripts, letters, and any key messaging for the President & CEO;
Maintain a Public Relations database with publicity values and meet goals;
Strategize with Vice President of Marketing on developing greater Public Relations for
the RPO;
Coordinate and write RPO Annual Report;
Proofread materials;
Write news articles for weekly eNewsletter;
Participate in several social mediums: Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare, Blog, and others as
they are created;
Serve on any RPO marketing/patron committees, as designated by the Vice President of
Marketing;
Respond to patron service issues as needed;
Work with Public Relations agencies when necessary;
Attend concerts as a public relations representative or as part of concert duty rotation;
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
