Aaron Uhrmacher, peer media consultant, Text 100 Public Relations
Aaron specializes in social media and peer-to-peer engagement. In this role, he works with clients to develop programs that leverage new media platforms – such as social networking sites, blogs, wikis and virtual worlds – to build online communities and spark brand conversations. Aaron helped lead Text 100’s entry into Second Life, where the company became the first public relations agency to establish a virtual world presence. He was named the 2007 “Young PR Professional of the Year” by PRWeek, as well as one of its “Top 10 Rising Stars” in 2006. In addition, his work helped Text 100 earn industry honors as the 2007 “New Media Agency of the Year” by The Holmes Report. Prior to joining Text 100, Aaron gained a behind-the-scenes understanding of the entertainment industry through his role as a reporter for Variety.
