Karen Olson, APR, assistant professor, Communications Department, SUNY Brockport
Currently an assistant professor in the Communication Department at SUNY Brockport primarily teaching courses in public relations and writing.
Previously, she was self-employed as president of KSO Communications, a strategic public relations consulting business. She has also worked in public relations and communications positions at Frontier Corporation, Greater Rochester Visitors Association, Rochester City School District, Monroe County Bar Association and YWCA of Rochester and Monroe County.
She is a graduate of SUNY Geneseo with a master’s degree in education and has served on several community boards of directors, most recently as a new member of the board for the Rochester Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America.
