Tom Proietti is a professor of communication at Monroe Community College. He is a former adverstising and cable television executive who spent nearly 5 years with Time Warner Communications/Greater Rochester Cablevision as vice president for marketing and programming.

He founded the communications/journalism program at St. john Fisher college where he taught for 10 years. He is a graduate of the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communication at Syracuse University where he received a master of science degree in radio/TV/film. He is also a former radio, TV, and newspaper journalist. Proietti is a frequent commentator and media analyst and regular monthly guest on WXXI-AM’s 1370 Connection.
