Bill Murtha
President/COO
Roberts Communications Inc.

Prior to joining Roberts Communications, Murtha logged more than 20 years in the advertising and marketing field with a special focus on business-to-business advertising, franchise/co-op marketing, retail and channel marketing.

His background includes leadership roles in creative and marketing positions, working for clients like Xerox, Ford Motor Company, Texaco, Eastman Kodak Company, Canandaigua Wine, General Electric, RCA, Hormel, Juicy Juice, Pepsi, Arthur Treacher’s Fish and Chips, Wendy’s and Bacardi rum. His experience includes major stints at NYC agencies like Ross Roy/Compton, Creamer/Colarossi and Griswold-Eshelman. He’s also been a principal of his own agency, Gallagher Group, most recently held the Creative Director and Account Director/Partner posts at EMA/Rochester, and at one time ran EMA/NYC operation as Senior VP/Managing Director.

Murtha’s work has received virtually all the major national and regional award recognitions, including Clio, Art Directors Club of NY, Addy, Obie, Newspaper Advertising Bureau’s DANDY, and the International TV, Film and Radio Festival.

As President, Murtha manages the agency with a special focus on work quality and client relationships and serves as the focused executive on the Xerox account. He is a key strategic manager at the agency combining his talents in account service, account planning, marketing strategy and creative direction. Murtha is one of the principals of Roberts Communications Inc. and serves on the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors.

He is a magna cum laude graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University with majors in English and Secondary Education and a former high school teacher before entering the field of advertising, Murtha resides in Rochester.
