George Eastman House

Dresden Engle is public relations manager at George Eastman House International Museum of Photography and Film. In charge of local and international media relations, Dresden has garnered features on CBS Sunday Morning, ABC World News, History Channel, HGTV, A&E, Discovery Channel, and PBS. Print press she has generated about George Eastman House includes articles in Forbes, The Washington Post, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Popular Photography, Art & Antiques, British Journal of Photography, American Cinematographer, and hundreds of newspapers across the United States and  Canada. For her public relations work, Dresden has earned first place and “Best of Show” PRism Awards from the Rochester chapter of the Public Relations Society of America.

Dresden also is a performer, writer, and director with the popular sketch-comedy troupe EstroFest, which has performed in Rochester for seven years, as well as Off-Broadway and in Toronto. She holds a bachelor’s degree in theater and journalism and a master’s degree in communication. Past work experience includes six years as a newspaper reporter/editor and as public relations manager for Geva Theatre.

In 2000 she was named to Rochester Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” list for young professionals and in 2002 was named a final nominee for the prestigious Athena Award. Other affiliations include serving as chairwoman of the Visitor Industry Council of the Greater Rochester Visitors Association (GRVA) and serving on the board of directors for the High Falls Film Festival. Dresden has served as a guest speaker for many local events and on numerous media panels, including national panels via the American Association of Museums.
